Davalappana gudda (height 3285 feet) is situated in chandravali, Chitradurga. On the top of this hill we see 9 shiva lingas representing the 9 shiva lingas of ankali mata. As per researchers, It is believed davallappa is other name of sanganna who was respectful person also a shiva bakht(This requires researchers to find and confirm). The route we too was through caves which gave us an experience of cave exploration. We started from Aadumalleshwara from were we had zero visibility of hill. We had to cross through forest area and finally we were able to see the back view of the hill which looked like a huge boulder. As we went close to the Hill we got to see lots of cracks which had formed natural caves which was the entrance. We were also warned not make loud noise as it might disturb bee hives and bats in cave. We had to use different tricks to climb and squeeze our-self in small space, vishwanath had hired a Authorized guide manu who assisted us. At one place we had reached the other side with a small opening, where we would see chitradurga fort. when we reached on the top we had breathtaking View of surrounding hills, Also a nice view of Chitradurga fort, With 9 shiv lingas carved on the boulders. Now we had get down the hill from another direction towards chandravali lake which was a steep descent. In total this was a Short and nice one day trek.
